Diana & Bill - Wedding at the Linwood Country Club, Linwood, nj

I knew going in to this one the Bride & Groom would have full trust in whatever we decided to do with the photographs (a plus benefit to having your photographer capture an engagement session with you!). I am fully aware that as wedding photographers, we can gravitate to the Bride’s side of things. It’s most common that the Bride will be the driving force behind most of the planning and of course, hiring the photographer.

Knowing this, I always try to stay vigilant in making sure the Groom and his crew get the attention they deserve, and if we can make it less cheesy and dare I say fun, then mission accomplished. I knew Bill and his entourage were excited to catch the early NFL games in Linwood’s super cool “man-cave”. (TV’s everywhere and the Sunday Ticket!). Still, they were all in receipt of my detailed timeline and knew 2:20pm would be time for wedding party portraits.

Knowing that I would be pulling them away from the games, I made a pit stop at my local sports store and snagged a football. The guys had fun tossing the ball a bit, and i’m happy to report no rolled ankles or ripped pants (phew!). The end result is a truly complete wedding gallery that encompasses the elegance of our bride and a little bit of rowdiness from the gents.
